Greetings once more from the grey, soggy streets of Riga. We had a momentary flash of warmish weather that disappeared once more into a cool, damp gloom that has overstayed its welcome, not that it was ever welcome in the first place. It is the perfect atmosphere for slinking about the lovely old streets of Riga to continue documenting grimy old dudes like this.

Well hello there! Would you mind holding that pose so I can draw you? These bas-relief architectural details are always such good models.
There is so much to like with this guy. I love his happy, open-mouthed expression; like he’s singing something, probably a Beatles song, maybe “When I’m Sixty Four”? He’s got a great mustache and hairdo, or is that some physical manifestation of his thoughts? Could be both. Here’s my rendition.

Ballpoint pen in the little MUJI sketchbook, which is getting filled up. Keeping my line loose and getting some energy in there. Need to do that with my next comix work I think; at least give it a try. Why not?
Until next week my friends, get out there and do some stuff; meet people, watch a movie in the theater, see some live music, look at art in a gallery, read a small press comix; anything to keep the cultural fires burning.
OK HW
