Bang a Gong (Get It On)

Now, we all either want to be “dirty and sweet”, or be with someone “dirty and sweet”, right? What’s the alternative? Clean and sour, which doesn’t sound like much fun really. With all that in mind, here is this week’s drawing the lovely T-Rexxx…

I admit, I wasn’t thinking of the T-Rex/Marc Bolan at all when I came up with this idea, was just doodling absentmindedly (I will add that drawing to this post later) while at a music trivia event. I drew a little T-Rex head and added the extra X’s, and my imagination took-off.

This looks like a descriptive character sheet for some longer thing; an animation or long-form comix story. Who knows where old T-Rexxx will pop-up next!

While researching “Bang a Gong”, I found this amazing live version of the song here on this Reddit post. Another glimpse into a time where people seemed to be happier, more free, less self-conscious and willing and able to let their freak flag fly. Well, at least we can still watch the videos.
