Kinda Sexy Frankenstein

So how do you follow-up “Goofy Frankenstein”? Well, with “”Kinda Sexy Frankenstein” of course! This hunky version of Frankenstein is from the 1965 cheese-fest “Frankenstein Meets The Space Monster”, which is prime Halloween time viewing, particularly if you prefer your horror mixed with some laughs. In this case, it’s just laughs really as it’s not scary at all.

In this story, Frankenstein is actually an astronaut who crashes lands and fuses with some of the circuits from his spacecraft, looking a bit like a prototype of “TETSUO”THE IRON MAN”. He has a tragic James Dean quality I think and I like the divided, two-face look, so thought it would be a good one to draw in the lead-up to halloween. Here’s my take-

I used the trusty Pilot V5 because I love the line it makes, a solid black, so new grey tones like I normally get with a ball-point pen. I chunked-up the circuits more and played with the hair for fun. Maybe I’ll draw the space monster next.

Happy Halloween, however you celebrate that. Watching horror movies and taking some walks in the autumnal cemetery is my Halloween this year.

Until the next time, thanks for reading this and keep smiling!
