Someone to watching over me…

I love living in Europe for many reasons, but one aspect is the centuries of stunning architecture. Wandering the streets of any European city is a sheer delight for me. I take too many photos maybe, but I want to get it all in. Sculptural building details, in particular, fascinate me as I am something of a sculptor myself, well, was once, now I dabble now and then.

I found this handsome fellow, Mr. 240 if you like, in Prague, one of my favorite cities in the world. I love the stylized, theatrical look of this guy with the sharp, almost lo-rez video game contours and the sumptuous mustache and beard and big lips. That sign is perfectly placed too, though the artist might not think so if they could see it now. There are thousands of cool faces and other details like this in Prague and I’d like to draw them all, so I best get busy.

Thanks for stopping by my little hand-made corner of the internet. I’m considering adding substack and cross posting mostly to try and reach more people, but I resist connecting to another big corporation because they are always going to shift the rules in their favor or use your content to train their A.I. or sell your information along to whomever… okay, I just talked myself out it.

Until next week, be kind to yourself and throw some of that love out there on this old sorry world too.

OK HW

Totally dig your renderings and musings here. Prague must be a beautiful historical city given even just the single chiseled face of Mr. 240. I love these architectural details as well with a particular affinity for gargoyles, keep on the lookout in your travels won’t you so I can add to my photo collection and musings on these creatures. Thanks for the beauty you bring to the world. Peace out beloved friend.
