Comix

I first started creating comix in the mid-1980s with my own digest-size alt comic book ‘zine called Reluctant Sadist that I self-published on an irregular schedule from 1985 to 1989, printing eight issues including an “Omnibus edition”.

In addition to RS, I was also contributing comic art and writing to the following self-published ‘zines in the late 1980s and early 1990s; “Zabawny”, “Zombie Vomit”, “Dinky Stories”, “NERVE”, Dementia”, Brad Foster’s “STUFF”, “SAMIZINE” (part of an art gallery showing of underground comics at the Minor Injury Art gallery in Brooklyn, NY), “Punk Ninja”, “Wanton Carruba”, “Psychedelic Experience” and “Tel Quel”.

Currently, I have returned to the comix world with the story “RESPECTO!” being published in the UK anthology underground-art comix UGLY MUG issue #7 (Fall 2023) and have plans to release the long awaited issue #8 of RELUCTANT SADIST in early 2024.
